Manekin Negotiates $1.85 Million Park Centre Land Sale to SECU for it's First Harford Branch

COLUMBIA, Md. (July 25, 2009) – Manekin, LLC has negotiated the $1.85 million sale of a pad site at its Park Centre project under development at the corner of Plumtree Road and Route 24 in Bel Air, Md.

SECU purchased the land at 210 Plumtree Rd. from Park Centre/Plumtree LLC. In early 2010, the credit union will open its first Harford County branch on the site. Joe Bradley, SIOR, a broker with Manekin, represented the seller, while Chris Bennett from MacKenzie represented SECU.

“We chose this particular site because it offers convenience and it has excellent visibility from a very highly traveled road,” said Peggy Tucker, SECU’s senior vice president of branch operations and member relations.

She added: “We have many existing SECU members and potential members in the area and we are pleased to provide a new full-service facility to accommodate the needs of our Harford County members.” 

The 4,500-square-foot branch – SECU’s 19th branch overall – will be equipped with a drive up ATM, two drive thru lanes, and state-of-the-art teller technology. For more information about SECU and its banking products and services visit www.secumd.org.

About Park Centre
In addition to the SECU pad site, Park Centre comprises a one-story, 14,700-square-foot medical office building, under construction at 208 Plumtree Rd.

Shell completion is scheduled for September and the building is under contract to be sold to the following doctors who will relocate their practices to the new building:

Reddy Annappareddy—Pharmacare Pharmacy
Prasad Nataraj, M.D.—Allergy & Asthma Center
S. Raguraj, M.D.—Internal Medicine
J. Angelo, M.D.—Internal Medicine
